Life Story
I am thankful to have been brought up in a Christian home by parents who exposed me to God’s word by attending church regularly. After many years of attending both church services and youth events I accepted Christ at the age of 14. My faith has never wavered since although my walk has not always been on the proper path.
After several years of straying away in my college years I prayed for God to send a life partner to keep my life compass on track. A few months later I met my future wife Bonnie and for the past 32 plus years she has been my rock. We have three wonderful adult children and now four grandchildren that God has blessed us immensely with.
I count it a blessing that God has allowed me to serve in various capacities at the church over the years and pray that he continues to allow me opportunities to serve in the future.
I first attended FBC Groveland 45 years ago when I moved from Mascotte to the “big city” of Groveland. I’ve seen many servant saints over the years such as Lucille Arnold, Howard Olson, and Jim Hanks among many others who have been a great example of a life dedicated to serving God through serving the church. Our church will be celebrating it’s 100th anniversary next year (2022) and it’s crazy to think I’ve been here for almost half that time!
My hope is that the church continues to serve Groveland and the world by spreading the gospel, introducing grace through faith in Christ, and making disciples of followers.
My hope is best summarized in Romans 15:5 which reads as follows:
“Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, according to Christ Jesus,”
